Data Sources & Attribution

NAPSPAN normalizes traffic data from European national access points and road authorities, plus community sources, into a single API. We honor each source's license. This page lists the attribution those licenses require — please display the relevant credits when you redistribute or present this data.

Required credits

When your application surfaces data from the following sources, you must display these credits:

• OpenStreetMap (truck restrictions): © OpenStreetMap contributors — data under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. See openstreetmap.org/copyright.
• CC-BY 4.0 sources (e.g. Spain, Finland): credit the licensor and the CC BY 4.0 license.
• UK Open Government Licence sources: Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
• Norway (Statens Vegvesen): Contains data under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD).
• France: data under the Licence Ouverte 2.0; Germany: Datenlizenz Deutschland.
